The Great Escape

After the PLOVER INCIDENT I was still a little worked up.  I was outside talking to the neighbours about how crazy it was that little miss had caught the plovers.  They noticed that the plovers had been swooping Jamie rather than going after Little miss.  Little miss was tucked up in bed and I had thought that because Jamie was in there with her that she would eventually fall asleep.

Next thing I see Little miss is out with me and I can hear Jamie calling out for her.  I called out to let him know she was with me, finished up talking and went back inside.  I asked her how she got out (the main door was zipped up high), she said her super secret tunnel.

Not only had she unzipped the fridge nook, but she had zipped it back up after she had crawled out.  Now the fridge nook zip needs to be zipped up high so it makes it difficult for her to get out.

Lessons we learn

  • Little miss is quick
  • Little miss will escape
  • All zips need to be up high
  • We need to sleep with one eye open
  • Bedtime after catching baby plovers is almost impossible
  • Bush turkeys and children can get through the fridge nook gap
