To See In NSW - Maclean

It's great to hear other people's recommendations of places to visit.  Maclean was recommended by a neighbour at the caravan park.  It was disappointing the museum was close due to Covid 19.  It would've been really good for Little miss to see.

Instead we took the road to the lookout, it was really steep.  When we got to the top we were delighted with the view of the entire valley. It was amazing to see the rivers, as well as the bridge we had driven over on the way to YAMBA.

A short walk down from the lookout was the Pinnacles. An amazing rock formation tucked in with the river as a background. You couldn't get a good view of the rock formation until you walked down the steps. I was even treated to a couple of kookaburras laughing in the trees above.  The drive back down gave us some incredible views again of the river.

Afternoon tea was at Botero (the coffee shop recommended to us), they made really delicious food. I'm not a coffee drink (shock horror I know) but this was one of the first places I was actually tempted to get a coffee because it smelt so good with the coffee beans roasting. Jamie would've liked to buy some coffee but we don't have a coffee pot. We took our afternoon tea and sat by the river to eat it.  Little miss was convinced that someone had poured glitter into the river because it was so sparkly.
