To See In NSW - Boulder Beach

I love exploring the local beaches, and this was no exception.  It was a little tricky at first to figure out where to go, but we got there in the end. Boulders Beach is beautiful, to the right of the Iron Peg is covered with rocks.  There is a small bay, but there are lots of submerges rocks so not a great swimming beach.

Off to the left is a worn path to the headlands.  There aren't any barriers and is on top of a cliff, so great care needs to be taken with small children.  We stood further back from the cliff top, which is lucky because a gust of wind blew little miss's hat off towards the edge.  Her first instinct was to chase it, not the safest at the top of the cliff.  That cemented the decision I had to stitch the Velcro shut on the strap of her hat to stop it from coming undone.

The headland gives beautiful views of boulder beach as well as the rocky inlet.  There is a track to get down to the beach.

We did get to see an osprey later in the week flying over the headland.  I wasn't quick enough to get a photo, a little miss had had enough so we didn't hang around to see if it came back. On the way back we passed some horses in a paddock, one was wearing a purple blanket. Little miss kept calling it the horse in the purple pyjamas.
