To See In NSW - Evans River

It's pretty incredible to see the breakwall at Evans head, NSW.  We spent many hours wandering the breakwall and the river.  You do need to take care in bad weather, as waves can and do crash over the top of the breakwall.

It's a short walk to the end of the breakwall, all paved and flat, and the paths by the river make it a pleasant walk for everyone.  There are plenty of picnic tables and grassy areas to play, as well as the coves along the river.

There are heaps of lizards that live in the rocks along the break wall and are regularly spotted sun baking. Little miss loved looking for them on our walks.  We spotted sea turtles and watched dolphins (including a baby dolphin) swimming up the river mouth.  There were also an abundance of fish, and plenty of fishermen all the way along.  The pelicans were not far away from the fisherman and we watched them cleverly catch the fish that the fishermen tossed back.

At low tide there is a big sand bar that you can walk over.  There was definitely someone for everyone.
