We had originally planned to be in Coffs Harbour for Little miss's birthday. We can't plan everything, and instead of visiting Fingal Head we skipped it altogether so we ended up back in Coffs Harbour earlier than planned (not such a bad thing in hindsight with the storms battering the northern rivers).
We had met up with friends on our way up and the girls had loved playing with each other. We thought it would be great for the girls to get together and have an early birthday party. Little miss had so much fun picking out all the different decorations for her party (mermaid (lady fish) theme) and she was very excited about the party bags.
We ended up with the park just about to ourselves, and the girls had a great time playing and blowing bubbles. When we asked little miss what she wanted for her party it was fairy bread, jelly, blueberries and cake. Very easy to please. She did also want some cheese sandwiches, but only nibbles on one like a little mouse.
We had a great time and Little miss loved her party (the most important thing). We will do something special on her birthday, but it was really nice to have a little party with her friends.
We did have a slight issue with a bird, I can't believe our luck. This time it was with a baby Indian minor bird. I was bring the flying fox over for little miss to have a turn and a bird just falls to the ground. It must've been sitting on the wire and been run over by the flying fox. There were feathers everywhere. Poor little bird. The worst part of it was that all the kids at the playground wanted to look at it.
