Corindi beach does have some beautiful pinky orangey rocks, absolutely stunning to see, at the bottom of the cliff face. I did find out pretty quickly that Little miss couldn't hear me calling her back over the noise of the waves crashing and echoing around the cliff. It does make it a bit tricky when I was trying to call her away from some horses riding on the beach, with one of them looking a bit spooked. I did manage to get her attention and kept her away from the horses, but then I decided I needed to do something to save my voice and still get her attention. Something that would save my voice. I tried clapping one day, she responded straight away and came running back. I'm sure a few people have thought I was a little weird for clapping at my kids but I'm sticking with it because it works for us.
We did have a few days of blue bottles washed up on the beach, we just avoided the beaches on those days. We did also see some Brahminey Kite sea eagles (I love sea birds) and there are 2 that live close by apparently. There were heaps of birds around and amazing to watch.
With the wild weather we had I didn't manage to get a photo at sunrise without the clouds. The days I didn't get up early they were magical and the days I did were cloudy, just my luck.
- Watch carefully with cliff tops
- Echoy beach means I can't be heard by Little miss
- Clapping is easily heard over the waves
- Little miss will come back when I start clapping
- I probably look like a complete idiot clapping at the beach
- I love the colour of the rocks
- The wind sometimes brings blue bottles to the beach
- Blue bottles can still sting even after they're dead
- Avoiding the beach when there's blue bottles is safest
- I love sea birds
- I love Brahminey Kite Sea Eagles
- After a few days the blue bottles will be gone
- Wet weather brings clouds and block sunrises
- Sometimes its just not meant to be to get a sunrise picture without the cloud
