Port Macquarie has a few ice cream places to try. Some had some really interesting flavours.
We did explore one day with the aim of going to an ice cream shop but we took too long (playing on playgrounds and searching for koala sculptures) and it was almost dinner time. Little miss was a bit disappointed, so was I but I had to be the adult and pretend I wasn't.
First we tried swirl yoghurt and lolly shop. This was an interesting concept with self serve frozen yoghurt in different flavours. It did make it a little trickier with covid 19 so we didn't add any toppings. I could see this as getting a bit more expensive if you're not careful as it's sold by weight. They did also have lollies pre packaged for $1. I suspect again if it was self serve rather than bagged it would be expensive. Little miss chose jelly pretzels lollies, they were 3 for $1.

Flavours we tried:
- Chocolate
- Banana
- Mango
- Passion fruit
We tried blue cow ice cream. It was amazing. They had so many different flavours it was hard to decide. I would've liked to try a few more flavours but we only have so much time.
Flavours we tried:
- Mango sorbet
- Lemon sorbet
- Lolly treasure (any guess who's this was)
Last we went to Baskin Robbins for some amazing ice cream (they were who we were looking for the first time we ran out). They almost had too many flavours to choose from. Little miss liked the look of the rainbow sherbet but the guy behind the counter said it was tangy and not a lot of kids liked it so she had a taste test of cotton candy (apparently very popular) and the rainbow sherbet. Rainbow sherbet won. She did also get the fancy troll sprinkles and marshmallows. On this one I think little miss had the pick of flavours.
Flavours we tried:
- Rainbow sherbet
- Turkish delight
We also got some ice cream at the zoo. It was the most expensive ice cream so far at $4.95 a scoop. Jamie had an icy pole instead.
