There is a small Maritime museum at the top of a hill (they have 2 koala sculptures out the front as well). It's really well presented. There are 2 cottages that have different rooms with lots of different displays.
We really loved the shell collection, it was amazing. There was a huge variety and we learned something. Apparently small holes in the shells are from predatory marine animals. We've seen shells with these small holes and wondered why.
Little miss loved all the model ships. They had a huge number of them and they were all so detailed. This is another really interesting place to visit with so much information and history about Port Macquarie.
