To See NSW - Sea Acres

This is an incredible rain forest. They have a boardwalk that you can walk along and stop to see the animals. Jamie wasn't that keen and little miss was a bit grumpy and tired so I left them in the car and went by myself.

I had someone tell me that they had seen owls and I was on the hunt. I didn't get to see any owls, even though I walked through twice (don't tell Jamie) but I did get to see some incredible animals.

When I first walked along the board walk there was a kookaburra swinging on a vine. I will admit that I stood watching the kookaburra swinging for a while before exploring a bit more. I did have a few people walk past me quickly while I stopped regularly to take way too many pictures. I did get to see more kookaburras, brown honey eater, spectacled monarch, land mullet, lace monitor, bush turkey, a green snake and heaps of butterflies.

I was disappointed I didn't get to see the owls, however many people go through and don't see anything. The lady I spoke with was surprised when I told her I saw a snake. Apparently they're rare to see and I got to see it slithering away (it was really noise so I knew something was there).

Would I go again? Definitely! Next time I'd allow a bit more time to be able to not rush. I did spend 90 minutes there but I could've easily spent 2-3 hours really taking my time and watching the wildlife.

They did also have a cafe and a fabulous gift shop. I spent ages in the gift shop looking at all the treasures and picking out a few. We have been pretty limited but I will admit knowing our next stop I did buy more than I would normally
