Ice Cream Around Australia - Eden

The important thing to do when we get to a new town is to find out where all the ice cream shops are. Priorities right? I know. Eden was a little trickier, normally I just Google it and can find them quickly. This time I asked the information centre and they pointed me in the right direction. Food Co next to the IGA was the place to go.

We did have a little issue with little miss chucking a tantrum in the shop. When we look at the different flavours, I read out some options and she looks in the window and chooses which flavour she wants. This is the first time she’s chucked a wobbly because after she chose she changed her mind. Now I could’ve easily given in and asked them to change it but I’ve been trying to teach her to be grateful as well as there are many times you can’t change your mind. She did eat her ice cream, even if it wasn’t the flavour she had changed her mind to. It wasn’t without protest, but the choice was eat her ice cream or I was going to. She didn’t want me to eat her ice cream.

We went back a few more times and the next time we visited Little miss made her choice of ice cream and didn’t change her mind. I have to admit the boysenberry was the best flavour, it was super creamy and we had it twice.

An ice cream truck also came through the caravan park a few times. On our last day there little miss got one with her cousins (even though we’d already had an ice cream that day). She choose a cone with chocolate and sprinkles and loved every bite.

Flavours we tried

  • Bubble gum
  • Old English toffee
  • Boysenberry
  • Mango Tango
  • Salted Caramel
