To See In NSW - Cocora Beach

This is the beach that the information centre recommended to swim at. It's a small beach with some interesting rock formations and rocks pools at one end and a jetty at the other end. The jetty isn't accessible from the beach, there are lots of rocks at the other end.

Little miss came with me to explore the rock pools. It's amazing the treasures you can find in the rock pools, and we even got to see some crabs.

The first day we went the beach was covered in beetles. It was odd to see so many beetles all over the sand. They kept getting picked up with the wind and blown down the beach. We didn't swim, the wind was too cold but there were a few other families that were swimming.

The waves are small, and very well protected on the beach. There is plenty of sand to build sandcastles on, and heaps of shells to find on the beach.

This is a really convenient beach to visit. We couldn't walk there from the caravan park, but it was a short drive with plenty of parking. They had benches, public toilets and a playground. It's always good when there are great facilities close to the beach, it just makes visiting with small children easier.
