This is a beautiful little museum showing the great work of
Mary MacKillop. She came to Australia a twice
in her life time. There is strong connection to Eden as the body of her mother,
Flora, who had died in a ship wreck (Ly-ee-Moon) off Green Cape and her body
was cared for by the women of Eden until it could be collected for burial.
The building the museum is held in has been restored; it was the former Catholic Church which is now next door overlooking the ocean. There are lots of photos and walls with information about Mary all around the hall. There is a video you can watch.
Little miss was really interested in the video and would’ve stayed and watched it over and over again. Little miss chose out a special pendant to have as a keepsake, and was very excited to pick out which one she liked.
