To See In NSW - Australia Rock

Australia Rock was on my list of things I wanted to see while visiting Narooma. It is easy to walk to (but dragging a wagon with a kids in it not so much) from the caravan park, but if you’re going for that all important sunrise photo like I did then make sure you leave plenty of time. Otherwise there is plenty of parking and a sealed road to drive up to the lookout.

At the top of the lookout there are lots of places capture the stunning view and watch the wildlife below. Walking down some stairs you can easily get to the bottom to view Australia Rock. It was nice when we visited during the day time, although I did have to wait for a bit because some people were climbing through it to take a photo (not sure I’d be game to do it).

When I went to take photos at sunrise, it was spectacular and well worth the time spent waiting for that perfect photo. You can walk along the break wall, we didn’t because of the weather, and you can often see seals sleeping on the break wall.

Ï loved being able to look out to Montague Island from the lookout, although we didn't get a chance to visit we hope to get back to Narooma again one day.
