Disaster bay lookout is a beautiful lookout in Ben Boyd National Park. If you don't have a National Parks Pass then you can pay for you day into the park. This is located about 16 km on the gravel road to GREEN CAPE LIGHTHOUSE.
Disaster bay was named after all the ships that have have been wrecked all along the coast. Amazingly the cove is between rock that is estimated to be 350 million years old of Green Cape and Bay Cliff. We visited on a beautiful day and the view was spectacular. There was a little platform that gave you a spot to get the perfect picture of the bay below.

Lessons we learned:
- A National Parks Pass is worth it when visiting lots of National Parks
- It's easy to pay for a day if that's all you need
- This was a very long drive in on a gravel road
- I don't like gravel roads
- It was super bumpy
- The lookout was amazing
- The view of the bay below was worth it
