This was a very popular beach for families. There was a little inlet that was protected from the hazardous surf conditions. When the tide is low you can walk over to a little island and explore. This is a breeding ground for Hooded Plovers, I was a little disappointed not to see any but we were only there a short time.
You could walk up to a lookout that gives beautiful views of the beach. It really was stunning. Again the damage from the bush fires last year was evident. From the lookout there was a walking track you could explore, and also there were more walking tracks across from the car park for the beach. If we had longer than a day it would’ve been great to explore the area.
Again this was a lovely beach that we could've spent all day at explore the beach and searching for sea treasures, looking for shells and spotting local birds.
- This is a kid friendly beach
- Very protected from the surf
- The lookout gives a great view
- There are so many walking tracks
- It’s a pity we only have one day to explore
- The bush fire damage is incredible to see
- The regeneration is amazing to see as well
- You can't see everything
- Sometimes a day trip is all the time you have
- We're making the most of seeing what we can when we can
- I would've loved to see a hooded plover
