Bonville creek is located walking distance from the caravan park at
Sawtell, with walking tracks well sign posted in the caravan park. The creek runs further upstream, we haven’t explored that far up and mainly
paddle near the opening to the beach. The beach is sheltered and you can cross
over at low tide to Bonville beach. You do have to be careful there is a strong
current, and it is open to the ocean.
There are rock pools to explore and plenty of treasures to find on the beach. This is a popular spot for families and people of all ages to swim and frolic in the water. People have told me of dolphins swimming up the creek but I haven’t seen any.
