The Grafton Show 2021

I love going to the Ag shows, there is always so much to see and do at them. When I saw the Grafton Show was on, and its only about an hours drive from Coffs Harbour, I knew we had to go and see it.

Little miss was super excited about having a go on the side shows, specifically the clowns. She's not really been old enough when we've been previously so it's not something she's had a chance to have a go on.

I love looking in the pavilions, I love all the bakes goods, art work, flowers and handmade items. I would love to be the judge of the bakes goods, they all looked delicious. Little miss was less than enthusiastic about the pavilion and looking at all the exhibits. When she decides she wants to so something, she has a one track mind. Unlucky for her, playing on the clowns was going to be the last thing we did.

We went and looked through the gems and rocks, little miss had the best time choosing out a special rock to take home, and she got a lucky dip as well. Normally we don't collect rocks (not the best idea while travelling) but these were some fabulous rocks and little miss kept telling them when she was older she would come and work in the rock exhibits.

We did however get to have a great experience at the show. We had chicken nuggets and a dagwood dog for lunch, are you even at a show if you don't have a dagwood dog? We sat in the stands and watched the horse jumping event, and I have to say it was a fantastic way to have lunch.

We went to the animal nursery and patted some animals. You could feed them too for $1, we chose not to because we've fed so many animals up and down the coast and little miss had fun patting and brushing the animals. There was the cutest little pig ever, and everyone wanted to pat it or take its photo.

We wandered through the alpaca shed, and little miss spent ages talking to the ladies spinning alpaca fleece. I was surprised that it took her fancy, but she saw the fleece and was really interested. We watched the last of the cow judging before we headed back to the sideshow to the fishing and clowns. Like most kids little miss could've spent all day going on the rides and sideshows, but that gets expensive fast. She had a great time fishing, and when it came to the prizes she chose the makeup (just what we need). The clowns she was super excited about, and chose a purple clown. The prize she chose was the jewellery (again just what we needed).

We looked through the birds, the finches were spectacular in colour, and my crazy little bird girl stopped to talk to a few of the birds. I love that she is a crazy bird girl. Just like her dad.

We went past the showbags, but little miss was so excited with her make up and jewellery that nothing else was going to get a look in. All in all in was a pretty good show. They did have some exciting things happening later in the evening, but being over an hours drive back that wasn't something I wanted to do in the dark and tired.
