To See In NSW - Coffs Southern Break Wall

Driving to the breakwall in the dark was a little more challenging than I had anticipated. The boat ramp was really busy and it was really difficult to see how far up to go, in hindsight it would've been better if I scoped it out in the daylight the day before but sometimes its great to wing it. There was an amazing lightening show out at sea. The cloud was amazing and I managed to get a video of it, I always forget that I can take a video.

I headed down the breakwall which was easy to see and had a nice wide path. I got to the end and there was a great view of MUTTONBIRD ISLAND. I was glad I didn't make the attempt up the island and just as I turned around to head back I heard a splash. There was a couple that was walking up the breakwall as well and we all headed to the end of the breakwall and got to watch a pod of dolphins swimming around the top of the breakwall. We had to climb up on the concrete pillars to get a view of the dolphins swimming around. Normally I don't climb on things. I'm accident prone at the best of times and I'm often exploring on my own so if I get into trouble (like the KANGAROO CLOSE ENCOUNTER) I have to wait for someone to rescue me. The couple were really sweet and helped me to climb up so I could take some photos and videos of the dolphins.

When it came time for them to go, they helped me climb down. Of course, clumsy me, dropped my polarising filter for my camera. Luckily it is an easy thing to replace. At least it wasn't my phone or car keys. I took that as a sign that it was time to head back to the car to head back for breakfast.
