Wow was it busy when we headed out to the outback. We had changed our plans (because of covid) so we didn't have heaps of options for tours. We also only had one day in Winton. So we booked a short tour to still get a taste of the dinosaurs.
We booked the fossil lab and collection room. Each tour lasted about 30 minutes which was more than enough for us.
The fossil lab went through what they do to dig up and process the fossils that are found. The best part for us was that they were Australian dinosaurs. I loved how much we learnt about Australian dinosaurs and what it could've been like I those times.
The collection room had the fossils displayed and they went through and explained about the different fossils that were found and how much of each dinosaur there was. Little miss was really sad to hear about matilda and banjo dying. I got repeated questions about why they died and what happened to them for a long time.
