To See In QLD - Barnacles Dolphin Centre

This is a really amazingly run place by some amazing people. When I heard about wild dolphin feeding there was no way I was going to miss it. We arrived about 7.50am, so it was an early start.

They had a tall about the dolphins and the rules around feeding the dolphins. You aren't allowed to pat or touch the dolphins. You also have to understand that they are wild dolphins.

We then all lined up to feed the dolphins.  Each dolphin had an allocation of 3kg of fish (with the younger dolphin having a 2kg limit) to ensure the dolphins still catch their own fish rather than relying on humans for their complete food source. We got 3 fish each. Little miss was a little worried about them nibbling her fingers but got the hang of it after a few fish. It really was a lovely experience.

After feeding the dolphins we washed our hands and sat down to a lovely breakfast at the cafe.
