To See In QLD - Blackwater Coal Museum

We saw the big red bucket on our way to the Gemfields, and decided to visit on the way back. Little miss loved posing in the big red bucket, its hard to realise just how big the equipment is for open cut mining. It made me feel so small standing in that bucket. The museum had heaps of interactive exhibits and information about coal mining.

There was heaps of information about what coal is used for and I have to say I was really surprised at how many everyday items that coal mining. Little miss loved the old coal train. I loved the models and how the different kinds of mines are cut and different jobs in a mine.
