To See In QLD - Cobb & Co Stagecoach Experience

This was one of the most amazing experiences we've done on this trip. I loved every minute of it, little miss liked bits and pieces of it but I felt less guilty considering she was free.

The day for us started out early, we made our way to the shop front and soon enough we were taken through to the arena. There were 2 horse and coaches. Each coach had 5 horses like they did in pioneer times. Traditionally they would put an unbroken horse in the middle at the front and by the end the horse would be broken in. There was a big family group that wanted to go in one coach, which left the other coach for the rest of us. It gave us a chance to spread out a little.

There were some people that wanted to sit on the top at the back, and next to the driver. I did laugh a little when they said if they yell out duck, they mean to literally to duck 😂 so they don't get knocked off with a low hanging branch. Given how clumsy little miss and I are, we thought it was safer to be in the stage coach.

We headed out in the stage coaches, and I have to say it was a bit exciting riding in the coach even on the bumpy dirt road that we went on. They reenacted what it would've been like in pioneer times if two stage coaches had met on the road before we headed back into town. On our way back to town they got the horses up to a full gallop. That was absolutely amazing and I did laugh a little because little miss was laid out on the bench seat while I was just taking it all in.

Back in town and we were unloaded from the stage coach and it was time for morning tea. Scones with jam and cream and tea (or cordial for the kids). Little miss wasn't sure about the scones, but I thought they were delicious and a great touch.

A wander through the shop before we headed into the cinema. They had deck chairs and wood chips on the floor, it was incredible. Everyone had popcorn to eat while we watched the movie "Smiley gets a gun". It was a really old Aussie outback movie and perfect for the theme. Little miss made a friend while in the movie, they were so excited they wouldn't stop talking to each other 😂

Then we went back out to the arena and got out billy can lunch. Little miss and I shared one, it was quite big. It had a ginger beer, apple, massive anzac cookie and a corned beef, cheese and pickle sandwich. We ate our lunch while they put on a comedy show. Little miss was more excited to play with her new friend than the show 😂 The show was funny, even the animals did a great job.
