We visited this beautiful family business out in Urunga. It was a little drive from Coffs Harbour but it was definitely worth the drive. As we were driving out there it felt like we were going to far in the wrong direction until suddenly we saw the beautiful yellow hive at the front.
The best part is the entry is free. They have a hive that shows you the different bees (a great learning opportunity for kids). You can also watch a little video about bees, look at some bee keeping paraphernalia and different types of bees. There is a stingless bee hive in the garden that you can see them buzzing around doing their thing.
We picked out ice creams (ICE CREAM AROUND AUSTRALIA) and sat in the garden enjoying the view (even if it wasn't really ice cream weather).
The shop has a collection of the most amazing honey and bee themed items. Little miss had such a lovely time flitting from item to item trying to decide what treasures we would buy. They have everything you could possibly need from bee themed jewellery all the way through to bee themed stationary.
